Dear MBTC Members,
As we enter into the new year under the leadership of our very capable President Peter Ong, I would like to thank you for the support and assistance given during my term, 2010/12. At the same time, I would like to call on everyone in this great club of ours to throw our support unreservedly for President Peter Ong.
President Peter has demonstrated great ability and commitment while serving as our club’s Vice-president, Education last year and his experiences would definitely enable him to serve our club well as our President.
Although we managed to achieve the Presidential Distinguished Club Award last year, we missed out on our goal of maintaining the record of our two past presidents of 10 out of 10 points. We only managed to achieve 9 out of 10. Thus, we are 1 point below and this could have been achieved had each of us invited more guests and be more committed to contribute to the growth of our membership. I take full responsibility for this shortfall and would like to urge each of us, including myself, to start early and start inviting our relatives, friends, and colleagues to attend our meetings so that we will gain the growth to beyond the 8 required by 30th December 2011. We can if we thin we can and also take the necessary. I am sure President Peter will lead us by example.
Also, our District 51 under the leadership of our District Governor, Sue Chan, has challenged us to achieve the Passion Drive 1 which has 5 requirements and the attainment of these by 30 September 2011 will earn our club the rebranded TI banner which is worth US100.00. The requirements are as follows:
1. Have at least 4 Exco. members to attend TLI
2. Achieve 2 educational goals (CC or Advanced Communicator)
3. Full year renewal of 15 members by October 2011
4. Enroll at least 5 new members by October 2011
5. Provide 5 new club leads
Also, there is a Passion Drive 2 which will give a bonus of US50.00 if our club can charter a new club within the 1st three months of the new term.
Well, lots of goodies to get and all we have to do is take simple action that are really not difficult to perform.
